How many players are in the NHL?
In NHL, there are 4 different “roster” limits to balance under the NHL League’s regulations – 20 players dressed list for games, 23 players are active NHL roster and 50-contract maximum and 90 players maximum on the reserve list.
Training:
Each team forms with 6 players: an archer plus 5 skaters (two defenders, two wings and a center).

When a team makes a foul, the team is penalized leaving it without a player, for a certain time. 2 players out at the same time is maximum penalty . When we have a third fault, the penalty it is postponed until the first one is over. If the goalkeeper makes a fault, then one of his teammates will pay the time in the penalty box.
Changes:
There is no limit on the number of changes that can be made in the game. Furthermore, changes can be done while the game is stopped or when the referee’s whistle blows or on the fly while the puck is in play.
